This is the home of two guys we call Akelas Biggins. What is Akelas Biggins? Right now it's
Joe Laud and Mike Martin. Joe is the lyrics/singer/guitar guy and Mike is the keyboard/bass/behind-the-scenes guy.
We could use a percussionist, so if you're that guy, contact us at the email address below. Lately though, I've been using a Roland
Fantom X8 to generate my drums, and I'm pretty happy with the results thus far. I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve, but
if you want to hear some samples of my experimentation, click this link.
I believe our music is of the no-genre genre. We're kind of a techno-folk-rock-bluesy-classical-electronica band. We're a little of all those things.
I met Joe through the Cub Scouts, so that
may help explain the name "Akelas Biggins" to any of you who've been there and done that with your kids. If you haven't done the scouting thing, then I'll
just leave it to your imagination. Imagination is what makes it all tick anyway. God bless and enjoy.

Akelas Biggins is a groove, a feeling.
We seek experiences where life’s lessons have provided a beacon for those who may find themselves in a positive leadership role. A groove where all senses are utilized to gather information only to discover that there is more than what we can mentally harness. Nevertheless, we use the lessons we have learned to aid us in our spiritual journey. A course that may require us to follow but, at times, we discover the direction may be unknown.
Only within will we know regret and disappointment if we did not try to seek.
Although influences are bountiful, it is apparent we favor some more than others. Serving as a positive light in our children’s lives is a hard enough task than to waste our time on things without substance. The camaraderie of goodwill will allow reaching those who share similar beliefs to overcome influences of void. Blessed that we have the passion, a need, to express our muse.
As artisans, all we can hope is to decipher our inspirations which we deem meaningful. Ageless voyagers dressed in flesh and blood; we stride towards a world where our journey will continue after our deaths. Learn our lessons and teach to allow lives to blossom. For time is short and there are many obstacles to overcome. We gather now, as soul collective, to hope there is an answer. Fully understanding that there may not be one…enjoyed anyway.
